Reading
Reading helps you learn and increases vocabulary, creativity, imagination, improves memory, reduces stress and improves writing skills. There are tons of research about reading. So why do we need to join a Club? We can do better together making the process of progress more achievable for all.
Comprehension
The Reading Comprehension Club focuses on understanding the meaning of the vocabulary that children see in the passages they read through everyday experiences in oral and written language.
Club
The Reading Comprehension Club is for adults members who have about 8 minutes a day to read a list of words that are in the books children will use in building comprehension. After this short period of time, adult members are equipped to go about their day and expand their children's world through meaningful experiences, language, reading and writing.
Members
Adults bring meaning to words contained in passages by engaging in everyday fun activities with their families. A trip to a grocery store or going outdoors can be an opportunity to use the vocabulary. The books cover science, history, language arts, baking, gardening, and more.
Benchmarks
There are questions to check comprehension after each passage, but best of all there are the answers in the back of the book for immediate feedback. Opportunities are limitless for digging deeper in any area of interest. There is no pressure to complete the reading in 45 minutes. There are eight weeks and you can work at your own pace. It is a win-win situation for all.
Celebrations
It is great to celebrate family success and recognize achievements. Each time children reach a milestone or complete one of the three reading comprehension books in the series, it is a wonderful glorious magnificent occasion to share their joy with the world and encourage others to do the same.

Our Happiness Challenge is to settle in our mind and heart that we have choices and that being our best self is a choice. It is a choice that we make daily. It is a choice that we make like picking up seashells, enjoying walks, watching the colors of the early morning sky and using our imaginations.

This is day three's post. After working five hours clearing weeds and rocks from a small courtyard and putting weed block down in a large backyard, I forgot to post yesterday.
I am thankful to be able to invest this much labor in something that I anticipate benefiting my family for years to come.
From our generation to all future generations... we have great heritages to protect. Precious stories of hope to tell and courage to instill. We have so much love to give to our families.

I must confess that sometimes I think that I am not going to be able to finish what I have started. This usually happens when I am physically tired. But I push on anyway. I can't give in to my thoughts or feelings at the time. The good thing is that once I am refreshed and my mindset is renewed, I think well.
